Chinese DCS market maintained a stably increasing momentum in 2006. The market size reached 6.79 billion yuan. Due to a 35% reduced investment in coal-fired power industry, DCS market growth rate in 2006 slowed down to 9.5%. The growth rate in 2005 is 19.2%.
The driving force of 2006 DCS market came mainly from petro-chemical, chemical, papermaking and municipal administration industries. Because power industry, accounting for one third of the total DCS market share, will further slow down its increase in 2007, DCS market is estimated to increase at merely 4.9%, the lowest in recent years.
