Pressure transmitter is an important component to control industrial process and pressure changes in many types of industrial equipment. Pressure transmitter, a field instrument directly contacted with the measured media, works in the environments of high and low temperature, corrosion, vibration, and attack, etc. It has extensive applications in pressure measurement and field control in petroleum, chemical, electric power, steel, and light industries.

In 2007, China’s market share of pressure transmitter amounted €210 million and 600,000 sets. The concentration ratio of pressure transmitter is so high that the top 11 manufacturers take up nearly 90% market share. Due to the complicated cooperation relationships among some manufacturers, in this report, the market size is measured by the number of pressure sensors, and market share by actual OEM.

Over recent two years, market of China’s pressure transmitter grows slowly and there is an obvious trend of price decrease. Owing to the great price pressure, the increase of set/piece number does not boost the growth of market size.
